This is my beautiful friend Helen. We go to the Bilambil Blues Club on Thursday nights.
This is Helen before the music and then there is Helen after the music.
One week the Hillbillies play. Scrubby and Dave and co. Paspalum and something else which I dont recall. there is didgeridoo and mandolin and guitar. Harmonica and drums. This is one unique place. This week I had Chicken Florentine for dinner. and Black Grape crepes. There is a dog there who does high 5s and sits on a bar stool. The second week a different band plays. I shall attempt to photograph them at some time. i can include a picture of the club which is 'unpretentious' .They once had a bass guitarist who had the same name as my granddaughter. Scrubby sings a song about Green
Prawns in Ballina .

wet and wet and wet.
last night i saw a girl play the flute while wearing a shoulder bag and running shoes. that impressed me. it was blues club again. she had other clothes on as well.
FOG everyplace. kates going to armidale to see the family. that is exciting.
Been digging ditches to stop the flood pouring in again. and now - well just settle in till it stops raining. Plat Age of empires and try to instal age of mythology and refine my font collection. it dont get any better than this.

The sugar cane fires have begun. Soon we get Condong snow. The fires burn from June to Dcember. They say this could be the last year. That would be sad for me. I love the fires. Its the same 6 months that the whales are passing up and down the Coast.

This is me going to the Blues Club. I am home now and I have Stereo on my radio , DVD ( which my MadObrian and his family Gave me ) and on my TV. I have a (cd Burner which Kate and her international man) gave me. and things are pretty good. Its after midnight and I'm hearing double.
Hungarian Goulash for dinner and lots of kisses and compliments. NO complaints from me. Banjoes and Mandolins and guitars and didgeridoos and drums and harmonicas etc etc . Next week I may take some fotos in the Blues Club. Sleep tight All.

Tonight is Thursday. Thats Blues in the Valley. Bilambil Blues Club. Thursday Nights for an experience as unique as the Yoghurt. Scrubby and his band tonight. And delicious meals for under $10. This is a trip back in time. Dogs and Kids and a lot of fun. I go every Thursday and I NEVER want to go and especially tonight I dont want to go - but I always go because its almost always GOOD. So if you're over 50 . and youre on your own. and you dont want to go out tonight. GO OUT !!! it will be good for you. go someplace which scares the shit out off you and act wise and sane. And - Because you are old , people will think you ARE wise and sane. You may get to eat ' chicken or fish princess" or ' chilli con carne ". Someone may come back and fix your stereo. Anything could happen. Remember Woodstock and the other one near Gosford and go for it !

If you really want to smile - find some Hastings Valley Dairy Yoghurt from NSW Australia and prepare for true sensual pleasure. Esp Lemon Myrtle and Honey - or wattle seed . I cant find it anywhere except in our small Village Store and they hide it on the top shelf behind other things so that customers cant buy it before they eat it. But i have discovered this ruse and I move the camouflage away and climb up on the bottom shelf and then i have my yoghurt. $1.80 each.

This is Kate. One of the people I love most in the world. I love some others but they wont let me use their images in case some lunatic recognises them across a crowded room.
Kate loves pies and i thought this was a foto of her eating a pie but she is eating a prawn sandwich. She is one good cook. and one fine daughter. When i was heartbroken in April she came to stay with me cause she is a sweetheart.
Her birthday is on Boxing Day which is a dud so from now on im going to celebrate on November 29 which is St Kati's day. ( My greek Friend Helen told me about Name days.) Then she wont miss out as she does because her mans birthday is xmas day so they are double bungers. We may celebrate with Humble PIes. I also love my son and his little family and also a group of people whom i have known since they were born even though i dont quite know how to love them as adults.

Today I found a dead snake under my windchimes. Well I did have my windchimes there but I took them down barefooted at 3 am. and then when I went out there in the morning, there was a dead snake there. Under the Crows. Behind the Cane Toads. Past the Hoot Owl.
